St. Thomas baseball postpones series opener with Northern Colorado

Despite a time change to avoid rain, the St. Thomas baseball team has postponed its Friday series opener at home against Northern Colorado.

The game will instead be played at 10 a.m. Saturday as part of a doubleheader. The second game will be played at 1:15 p.m. depending on the forecast.

The Tommies (8-21, 2-7 Summit League) are set to play the Bears (9-26, 5-7) three times over the weekend.

St. Thomas is riding a three-game win streak, including a shutout of Big Ten opponent University of Minnesota on Tuesday. First-year pitcher Kolby Gartner threw 101 pitches, recording the Tommies’ first complete game of the Division I era.
