Tommies take on Rochester CC in scrimmage

The St. Thomas football team prepared for the upcoming season with a scrimmage against Rochester Community and Technical College Saturday at O’Shaughnessy Stadium. Although they didn’t keep score, the Tommies used the scrimmage to keep improving.

Running back Brenton Braddock was sidelined due to a minor injury, but thought the team played well.

“Our defense stepped up today,” Braddock said. “It’s good to see them pick up right where they left off from last year.”

The preseason No. 2-ranked Tommies open their season against Wisconsin-Eau Claire on Sept. 7, at O’Shaughnessy Stadium.

“We expect to keep getting better every day,” Braddock said. “We’re all in this together as a family.”
