St. Thomas women’s hockey Feb. 27 match postponed due to COVID-19

The St. Thomas women’s hockey game against St. Mary’s today has been postponed due to COVID-19 protocols.

This is the fifth postponement of the 2021 season for the St. Thomas women, and two more additional games have been postponed for the following week.

“Saturday, Feb. 27 at home game against St. Mary’s; Tuesday, March 2 away at Gustavus; and Saturday, March 6 against Augsburg are all postponed due to COVID 19 protocols,” St. Thomas athletics said in a statement Friday.

The Tommies won their last contest against Concordia-Moorhead on Feb. 24 at Saint Thomas Ice Arena, defeating the Cobbers 4-3. The women’s next game is scheduled for Mar. 10 at Concordia-Moorhead at 7 p.m.

Both St. Thomas’ and St. Mary’s athletics departments will reschedule the game if conditions allow.
