As the two-year anniversary of the COVID-19 pandemic has come and gone, COVID-19 regulations have eased up across the United States and St. Thomas’ campus. However, one thing has remained constant throughout the pandemic: many U.S. citizens’ mistrust in science.

Three positive COVID-19 cases were reported by St. Thomas’ Center for Well-Being during the week ending on March 4; it was the first full week since the university lifted its face covering requirement in most indoor spaces on Feb. 26.

St. Thomas lifts face covering requirement in most indoor spaces
St. Thomas’ University Action and Response Team announced via email that it will be lifting its face covering requirement in many indoor spaces on Saturday, Feb. 26. Masks will still be required inside classrooms, labs, St. Thomas’ shuttle and the Center for Well-Being.

Spring Semester COVID-19 Protocols
Sixty-one positive COVID-19 cases were reported to the St. Thomas Center for Well-Being for the week ending Jan. 28. The university-wide vaccination rate is 91.2%, with 94% of employees and 90.4% of students vaccinated.
What is Seasonal Affective Disorder?
During the fall and winter months, many St. Thomas students are found in the Center for Well-Being discussing the possibility of Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD).

Nineteen positive COVID-19 cases were reported by St. Thomas’ Center for Well-Being during the week of Dec. 6, which is a decrease of 22 cases from last week.
St. Thomas booster clinics fill up in ‘days’ after no email announcement to students
