Victim identified in fatal Cretin Avenue crash near St. Thomas campus

The St. Paul Police Department on Wednesday identified the victim of a fatal crash that occurred around 5 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 20, on Cretin Avenue.

In a tweet, SPPD stated that Randi Lee Stone, 30, of Minneapolis, died in the crash near the intersection of Cretin Avenue North and Mississippi River Boulevard, across from Anderson Student Center and O’Shaughnessy Stadium. Another occupant in the same vehicle was injured. The injured occupant was being treated at Regions Hospital on Wednesday.

St. Paul police said the vehicle that both occupants were in was reported stolen in St. Paul on Feb. 8.

The department said its investigation into the crash is ongoing.
