Seattle Seahawks sign Tommie alum Nick Guggemos

Ex-Gopher Omersa finds new home with old friends at St. Thomas

The University of St. Thomas’ men’s basketball team gained an important piece to its lineup on April 18 after a Twitter announcement from former University of Minnesota forward Jarvis Omersa, an incoming junior, who averaged a team high 1.3 steals per game before leaving the team due to personal health concerns surrounding COVID-19.

St. Thomas Athletics Director Phil Esten extended his invitation in an email on April 14 for St. Thomas community members to join an open discussion with key athletics leaders at noon on April 22 via Zoom and to join an open panel with the commissioners of St. Thomas’ new athletic conferences at noon on May 7.
