A prayer was called Friday for the 50 members of Christ Church who died in the shooting in New Zealand last week. Thousands of people came to the worship and the service was live broadcasted internationally.

“New Zealand mourns with you. we are one,” prime minister Jacinda Ardern said.  

The service was held the day after the government announced a ban on “military- style” semi-automatic firearms and high-capacity magazines like the weapons that used in the attack at Al Noor and Linwood mosques.

In national news, Jimmy Carter, the 39th president of the United States is now the longest-living chief executive in american history. Friday was the 172nd day after Carter’s birthday, making him one day older than former president george h.w. bush who died on nov. 30 at the age 94 years old.

Finally, judge is expected to rule if R&B singer, R. Kelly can travel to Dubai to perform several concerts in order pay legal bills for his sex-abuse charges. Kelly hopes to perform at least five April concerts upon his attorney’s request. In addition, he  meet members of the royal families in the United Arab Emirates.
