Two men were charged Monday in connection with a weekend shootout that left one woman dead and 14 people injured at Seventh Street Truck Park bar in St. Paul

Devondre Trevon Phillips, 29, of Las Vegas, was charged with 12 counts of second-degree attempted murder. Terry Lorenzo Brown, 33, of St. Paul, was charged with one count of second-degree intentional murder and 11 counts of second-degree attempted murder.

The two men, who had an apparent beef with each other, were among the injured.

A U.S.-based economist won the Nobel prize in economics Monday for pioneering research that transformed widely held ideas about the labor force.

Two other U.S.-based economists shared the award for their framework for studying issues that can’t rely on traditional scientific methods.

On National Coming Out Day, St. Thomas faculty, staff and students came out in large numbers to stand in solidarity with the university’s LGBTQIA+ community.

Members of the LGBTQIA+ Faculty and Staff Association handed out signs, pride flags and stickers to show support at the intersection of Summit and Cretin Monday afternoon.
