Dr. Mahendra Amin has been linked to allegations of unwanted procedures done at Irwin County Detention Center In Georgia on detained immigrant women.

An Associated Press review of medical records for four women and interviews with lawyers revealed growing allegations that Amin performed surgeries and other procedures on detained immigrants that they never sought or didn’t fully understand.

Although some procedures could be justified based on problems documented in the records, the women’s lack of consent or knowledge raises severe legal and ethical issues, lawyers and medical experts said.

President Donald Trump and his Democratic challenger Joe Biden campaign in Minnesota today to mark the beginning of early voting.

They’re expected to avoid the urban core of Minneapolis and, instead, focus on rural and working-class voters, some of whom voted Republican for the first time in 2016. Trump will be in Bemidji, Minnesota, about 200 miles (320 kilometers) north of Minneapolis, while Biden will swing through Duluth, on the banks of Lake Superior and close to the Wisconsin border.

The St. Thomas Department of Public Safety released its briefing for the first week of classes.

The briefing includes several anonymous reports of large gatherings off campus, one of which included people in a house not wearing masks and not social distancing.

A Minnesota executive order currently limits gatherings to 10 people indoors for private homes and 25 people outdoors.
