No. 4 MIAC-ranked Tommie men’s hockey takes conference championship

Sophomore forward Luke Radetic scored twice for the Tommies, leading the No. 4 MIAC-ranked St. Thomas men’s hockey team to a 3-2 win against No. 2 MIAC-ranked Concordia-Moorhead for the MIAC championship Saturday at the Moorhead Sports Center.

Both of Radetic’s goals, in the second and third periods, were assisted by senior forward Brett Gravelle.

Senior forward Jack Christensen also put in a goal in for the Tommies in the second period, assisted by senior forward John Peterson.

Concordia junior forward Matt Donnelly took one in unassisted in the second period. Senior center Aaron Herdt took another in assisted by sophomore defender Beau Wilmer and junior forward Tyler Bossert in the third period.

The Tommies will now advance to the NCAA tournament. The selection show is set for 9:30 a.m. Monday, where they will learn their opponent and playing location.
