Public Safety Briefs: Oct. 28 – Nov. 4

On October 28 at 9:43 a.m. Public Safety documented suspicious activity on Cleveland Avenue. An unidentified individual yelled at a St. Thomas student near the intersection of Grand Avenue.

On October 28 at 9:54 a.m. Public Safety documented suspicious activity in Anderson Student Center. A St. Thomas employee reportedly made inappropriate comments to a person in The View.

On October 28 at 9:56 a.m. Public Safety documented property damage in Anderson Student Center. An unidentified individual ran into a wall causing extensive damage.

On October 28 at 12:29 p.m. Public Safety and St. Paul Fire Department medics responded to a medical in O’Shaughnessy Educational Center. A St. Thomas employee reported dizziness.

On October 28 at 4:15 p.m. Public Safety documented theft on campus. A bicycle owned by a St. Thomas student locked to a bike rack outside of Dowling Residence Hall was stolen.

On October 28 at 4:43 p.m. Public Safety and St. Paul Fire Department medics responded to a medical in Brady Residence Hall. A St. Thomas student had an allergic reaction and was transported to an area hospital for advanced medical care.

On October 28 at 11:58 p.m. Public Safety documented property damage in Brady Residence Hall. A St. Thomas student admitted intentionally damaging university property.

On October 29 at 11:46 a.m. Public Safety documented sexual assault in Dowling Hall. A campus security authority reported a parent of a St. Thomas student disclosed the student was raped in the building at an unknown date and time.

On October 29 at 2:07 p.m. Public Safety documented suspicious activity in O’Shaughnessy Educational Center. An anonymous St. Thomas student reported a St. Thomas employee made unwelcomed comments in class.

On October 29 at 2:20 p.m. Public Safety and the Title IX office documented sexual assault on campus. A campus security authority reported a St. Thomas student, asking to remain anonymous, disclosed being raped in an undisclosed residence hall by an unidentified person.

On October 29 at 7:54 p.m. Public Safety and St. Paul Fire Department medics responded to a medical in Aquinas Hall. A St. Thomas employee experiencing chest pain was transported to an area hospital for further advanced medical care.

On October 30 at 1:36 p.m. Public Safety documented suspicious activity on campus. A St. Thomas employee reported an unknown, possibly concerning incident that occurred at an unknown campus location.

On October 30 at 1:55 p.m. Public Safety assisted the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport Police Department in the Morrison Hall Public Safety office. A pre-employment background investigation was conducted on a current St. Thomas employee.

On October 30 at 3:44 p.m. Public Safety documented theft in Lot C. A catalytic converter on a motor vehicle owned by a St. Thomas student was stolen.

On October 30 at 5:10 p.m. Public Safety responded to a medical in Byrne Residence. A resident of the building was transported to an area hospital for an unknown medical condition.

On October 31 at 11:58 a.m. Public Safety responded to a traffic collision in the R1 level of the Morrison Hall parking garage. A St. Thomas student backed into a vehicle owned by a St. Thomas employee while exiting the garage.

On October 31 at 12:22 p.m. Public Safety and the Title IX office documented stalking off campus. A person not affiliated with St. Thomas reported substantial emotional distress due to ongoing unwelcomed behavior by a St. Thomas student.

On October 31 at 12:53 p.m. Public Safety and the Title IX office documented sexual harassment in Anderson Student Center. A St. Thomas reported inappropriate language by a St. Thomas employee.

On October 31 at 2:16 p.m. Public Safety documented suspicious activity on campus. For the purposes of community safety, a records check was conducted on a motor vehicle parked multiple times across campus without a permit.

On October 31 at 10:25 p.m. Public Safety assisted Residence Life with a welfare check in Dowling Residence Hall. An underage St. Thomas student reportedly had bloodshot eyes and an unsteady gait.

On November 1 at 12:13 a.m. Public Safety responded to theft on campus. A bicycle owned by a St. Thomas student locked to a bike rack in the lower quad between O’Shaughnessy Educational Center and O’Shaughnessy-Frey Library Center was stolen.

On November 1 at 1:15 a.m. Public Safety assisted Residence Life with a disturbance in Ireland Residence Hall. An underage intoxicated St. Thomas student and four underage St. Thomas students unlawfully consumed alcoholic beverages.

On November 1 at 1:28 a.m. Public Safety, the St. Paul Police Department, and Residence Life responded to disorderly conduct in Brady Residence Hall. An underage guest unlawfully consumed alcoholic beverages, an underage disorderly guest unlawfully consumed alcoholic beverages, possessed fictitious identification and was trespassed from university property, and an underage intoxicated and disorderly St. Thomas student unlawfully consumed alcoholic beverages and unlawfully possessed alcoholic beverages, drug paraphernalia and fraudulent identification cards.

On November 1 at 3:36 a.m. Public Safety assisted Residence Life with a medical in Morrison Hall. A St. Thomas student reported stomach pain.

On November 1 at 8:46 a.m. Public Safety documented suspicious activity in Aquinas Hall. A St. Thomas employee reported a light seen turned on in an office suite door when driving by the area, yet turned off when entering the area.

On November 1 at 1:39 p.m. Public Safety documented an assault off campus in Minneapolis. Two St. Thomas students physically assaulted a person not affiliated with St. Thomas.

On November 1 at 3:55 p.m. Public Safety documented a burglary on the 1900 block of Grand Avenue. The St. Paul Police Department reported unlawful unforced entry to a residence in the area.

On November 1 at 4:10 p.m. Public Safety documented property damage on the 100 block of Cretin Avenue South. The St. Paul Police Department reported unidentified intentional damage to property.

On November 1 at 4:12 p.m. Public Safety documented attempted burglary on the 300 block of Cleveland Avenue North. The St. Paul Police Department reported attempted unlawful forced entry to a residence in the area.

On November 1 at 10:09 p.m. Public Safety assisted Residence Life with a suspicious odor in Ireland Residence Hall. A St. Thomas student unlawfully possessed THC oil, a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia and an underage guest unlawfully possessed alcoholic beverages.

On November 2 at 12:03 a.m. Public Safety assisted Residence Life with a liquor law violation in Dowling Residence Hall. Two underage intoxicated St. Thomas students unlawfully possessed and consumed alcoholic beverages, and an underage St. Thomas student unlawfully consumed alcoholic beverages.

On November 2 at 3:56 p.m. Public Safety responded to a medical in Dowling Residence Hall. A St. Thomas student reported flu-like symptoms.

On November 2 at 5:08 p.m. Public Safety responded to a welfare check in Ireland Residence Hall. A St. Thomas student reported concerns about another St. Thomas student.

On November 3 at 12:34 a.m. Public Safety and St. Paul Fire Department medics assisted Residence Life with a medical in Brady Residence Hall. An underage intoxicated St. Thomas student who unlawfully consumed alcoholic beverages was transported to an area hospital for advanced medical care.

On November 4 at 2:32 p.m. Public Safety observed suspicious activity in Minneapolis Opus Hall. A person not affiliated with St. Thomas seen loitering in Keffer Library was trespassed from university property.

On November 4 at 2:56 p.m. Public Safety documented theft on campus. A St. Thomas student reported a bicycle locked to a bike rack on the east side of Dowling Residence Hall in the upper quad was stolen.

On November 4 at 3:14 p.m. Public Safety documented intimidation in the Morrison Hall Public Safety office. A St. Thomas student unlawfully placed a St. Thomas employee in reasonable fear of bodily harm through the use of threatening words and conduct.

On November 4 at 7:05 p.m. Public Safety documented property damage on the 2000 block of Fairmount Avenue. A property owner in the area reported several political signs intentionally damaged.

On November 4 at 8:07 p.m. Public Safety documented theft near Mississippi River Boulevard North and Summit Avenue. The St. Paul Police Department reported property stolen from a motor vehicle parked in the area.

On November 4 at 8:19 p.m. Public Safety documented theft on the 1800 block of Iglehart Avenue. The St. Paul Police Department reported property stolen from the area.
