The No. 1 St. Thomas volleyball team defeated No. 4 Augsburg in a MIAC semifinal match on Thursday night. Augsburg dominated the first two sets in the thrilling five set match.

The Tommies made a stunning comeback in the third set. Junior Meghan Mazzola recorded 41 digs in the final three sets. Women’s volleyball will face St. Olaf this Saturday at 7 p.m.

St. Thomas men’s soccer team defeated Carlton in the MIAC semifinals on Wednesday afternoon at South Field. The Tommies took control of the game early when Midfielder George Marty scored in the first 37 seconds of the game.

Men’s soccer will face Gustavus on Saturday at 1 p.m. in the MIAC championship.

The No. 2 seed St. Thomas women’s soccer defeated No. 6 seed Bethel Royals 3-0 on Wednesday afternoon. The MIAC semifinal took place at South Field where the Tommies outshot the Royals 19-0.

The Tommies will advance to the MIAC championship game on Saturday where they will face Augsburg at 1 p.m.
