St. Thomas community reacts to Tommie-Johnnie at US Bank Stadium

After St. John’s University announced the final Tommie-Johnnie football game will be held at U.S. Bank Stadium on Nov. 7, St. Thomas community members reacted positively.

“It’s one of the greatest rivalries in Division III,” St. Thomas Chief Financial Officer Mark Vangsgard said. “Unfortunately, it’s going to be the last game.”

Students echoed Vangsgard’s excitement.

“I think it’s really exciting and it’s something for our school to be proud of,” St. Thomas first-year Amanda Patel said.

“U.S. Bank is a really nice stadium, so it’s going to be cool to have it there,” St. Thomas sophomore Yash Suri said.

Fortunately for hopeful attendees, the space is equipped with 66,200 seats.

“I will be going with 500 of my closest friends,” Vangsgard said.
