Nineteen positive COVID-19 cases were reported last week by St. Thomas’ Center for Well-Being, breaking a three week case decline. Positive test results have totaled 17, 13 and nine the past three weeks.

Fourteen cases were reported from students and five from employees. The St. Paul campus had 18 cases and the Minneapolis campus had one.

As of Saturday, 675,329 Minnesotans have received their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine and 238,104 more have completed the vaccine series, according to the Minnesota Department of Health.

The MDH is reporting 474,169 cumulative positive cases and 611 newly reported cases.

The dashboard continues to report that there is no transmission in classroom and lab environments and that there is more than 50% availability in quarantine and isolation space on-campus.

The university contact tracing team is still able to interview 90-100% of positive cases reported within 24 hours of a positive test result.

Positive test numbers come from tests conducted at the Center for Well-Being, self-reported tests and reports from the Minnesota Department of Health.

As of Monday, the Minnesota Department of Health reported 452,308 positive cases in Minnesota.

St. Thomas releases COVID-19 data weekly on Monday’s, and can be found on the COVID-19 Dashboard.
