Senior forward Spencer Zwiener’s empty net goal for the St. Thomas men’s hockey team, and Josh Maucieri’s goal with 2.3 seconds left in the third period sealed the deal for the Tommies win against Bethel on the road 5-1 Friday at the National Sports Center’s Super Rink.

In a back-and-forth battle, St. Thomas secured a 4-3 win against St. Mary’s thanks to senior forward Spencer Zwiener’s go-ahead goal, his second goal of the game, with just under five minutes left in the third period in the Tommies’ last home game as a Division III and MIAC member school. COVID-19 UPDATE: One student case makes for lowest weekly case total

Women’s and men’s basketball, and men’s hockey games scheduled for Feb. 10 have been postponed “due to COVID-19 protocols,” St. Thomas Athletics said in statements issued Tuesday.

NCAA cancels D-III winter championships, citing “low participation”
